New Milford, this is it—the last literary lifeline for two years! The Friends of the New Milford Public Library have dropped urgent news: their 2024 Annual Summer Book Sale—happening July 11–13 at New Milford High School—will be their final sale until at least 2027, thanks to imminent library construction.
And they’re shouting it from the (soon-to-be-renovated) rooftops:
“Due to the library construction, this will be our LAST book sale for at least 2 years! Think ahead and STOCK up!!”
Here’s Your Mission Timeline:
- Thursday, July 11
- 9–10 a.m.: $5 Early Bird Hour—first access to the freshest, rarest, and most sought-after titles
- 10 a.m.–7 p.m.: FREE entry for everyone—browse fiction, nonfiction, kids’ books, cookbooks, and more
- Friday, July 12
- 10 a.m.–6 p.m.: Midweek browsing with full inventory still intact
- Saturday, July 13
- 10 a.m.–2 p.m.: HALF-PRICE FINALE—every single book in the sale drops to 50% off!
This isn’t just about saving money. It’s about stocking your shelves, classrooms, and gift closets before a total blackout on book sales hits New Milford for 24+ months.
Imagine your future self in 2026, craving a rainy-day read… and wishing they’d grabbed just one more box in 2024. Don’t let that be you.
Come early. Come often. Come ready to haul home stories that’ll last you through the drought.
